About E-comienza
E-comienza is an AI-first development studio that builds autonomous AI agents for WhatsApp, Web and LMS platforms such as Moodle. The studio works in English and Spanish, mainly with businesses and schools in Latin America and in US Hispanic markets. Two agents built by E-comienza are in production today: Prosperia and the Estudios Tributarios course tutor.
Who E-comienza is
E-comienza is an AI-first development studio. AI-first is not a label for using a model somewhere in the product. It means the agent is the product, and the interface, the data work and the deployment are designed around what the agent needs to answer well.
The studio builds in three areas: LMS and Moodle chatbots, agentic pipelines with multi-agent designs and custom LLM logic, and WhatsApp and Web agents for booking, support and financial data querying.

Why agents and not chatbots
A chatbot follows a script. Someone writes a list of likely questions, maps each one to a stored reply, and the bot matches what you typed against that list. It works until a user asks something that was not on the list, which is most of the time.
An agent works differently. It reads the question, retrieves what it needs from your material or your data, reasons about it, and can carry out a task such as generating a report. It can handle a question nobody anticipated because it is not choosing from a menu.
We build agents because the questions that matter are the unanticipated ones. A system that only handles the predictable questions leaves your team doing exactly the work you wanted to remove.
Grounded by default
Every agent we build answers from a defined source. The Moodle tutor answers from the course curriculum and nothing else. The financial agent answers from real records. The source is agreed before the agent is built, not added later as a safeguard.
Where the source is a document, the agent cites it. Estudios Tributarios students get an answer and a reference such as Unit 4, page 23, so they can read the passage themselves.
And when a question falls outside the source, the agent says so. Saying nothing useful is a better outcome than saying something confident and wrong, and we build agents that behave that way on purpose.
How we work
We scope, design and ship. Scoping means agreeing what the agent will answer, from which source, and what it must refuse. That boundary is the most important decision in the project and it is made first.
Design means deciding how the agent behaves, including what it does when it is unsure, how it cites, and where a human takes over. Those behaviours are specified deliberately rather than left to whatever the model does by default.
Shipping means the agent goes into the real channel in front of real users. We tune it there. Real users ask things nobody writes into a spec, and the first weeks of real messages are the most useful input the project gets.
Working in two languages
E-comienza works in English and Spanish, and the Spanish is written as Spanish rather than translated from English. That applies to the agents as much as to the site.
It matters in the product. A student writing in Spanish inside a Spanish-language Moodle course is not well served by an agent whose answers read like a translation. The same is true for a client asking about their numbers on WhatsApp.
Most of the studio work is with organisations in Latin America and US Hispanic markets, where WhatsApp is the default channel rather than an additional one.
What is in production
Prosperia, at prosperiaapp.com, is an autonomous agent on WhatsApp and Web for accounting professionals and their clients. Clients ask about their finances in plain language and receive instant reports without a manual lookup.
Estudios Tributarios, at estudiostributarios.com, is a Moodle-native agent that tutors students 24/7 using exclusively the course curriculum, with RAG over that curriculum, citations to the unit and page, and a clear statement when a question is not covered.
Two agents in production is what the studio can show. We would rather point at a system with real users than at a demo built for a meeting.
